DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK MARKING 145 YEARS OF OUR MOTHER MARY’S APPARITION.

Members of the Catholic African Chaplaincy of Dublin led by the Chaplain Fr Cornelius Nwaogwugwu CM travelled to Knock to participate in the Archdiocese of Dublin’s activities marking 145 years of Mary our Mother’s appearance in Knock.

In appreciation of the impressive turnout by members of the Chaplaincy, the Pastoral Council Chairman, Cllr J K Onwumere share a word of gratitude to God and to everyone who joined the Pilgrimage to Knock on the 27th of April, 2024.

In the Chairman’s words, “attending the historic 145th Anniversary of the Apparition of Mother Mary as members of the African Chaplaincy Dublin was spiritually enriching.”

He thanked all the Centre Coordinators and individuals who assisted with the planning, transport and logistics. He also extended his gratitude to centres who ensured that food and refreshments were shared to those who had none. Remarking that their generosity is appreciated

Finally, the Chairman thanked our dear Chaplain Fr Cornelius Nwaogwugwu CM, for leading the team and for his pastoral care.

The Holy Mass at the Basilica was celebrated by the Archbishop of Dublin, Archbishop Farrell supported by numerous priests from across the globe.

The African Chaplaincy Of The Catholic  Archdiocese  of Dublin is a vibrant worshiping community of people of many tongues and tribes and nations of African extraction and all who desire to worship in the spirit that is true to our native air.

To God be the glory, the African Chaplaincy has continued to grow from strength to strength and has recorded great improvements in the Organisation of spiritual events aimed at bringing the African community to worship together..
